SHERTRACK RELEASES SNAPPS V3.0

Livonia, Mich. –April 12, 2005 – SherTrack, a leading provider of planning and scheduling solutions for process manufacturers, announces the commercial availability of version 3.0 of its flagship product, SNAPPS.

SNAPPS is unique in the way it addresses the planning and scheduling challenges faced by process manufacturers, employing sophisticated and proprietary probabilistic algorithms to actually reduce the uncertainty of short-term demand and dramatically improve plan accuracy. An automated scheduling engine creates cost-optimized, capacity feasible production schedules which keep supply and demand in constant alignment. These schedules can be modified by the scheduler or released as-is to the plant.

It can be seamlessly integrated as a “bolt-on” optimizer for existing planning systems, or used as a replacement for an existing scheduling solution (with a fully-functional, best-in-class user interface).

Results realized to date have been significant: SNAPPS has consistently delivered 15% to 50% reductions in inventory and significant improvements to customer service (30% to 90% fewer missed shipments) for organizations with mature S&OP processes and “best in breed” ERP and APS solutions in place.
