SHERTRACK LAUNCHES TO PROVIDE INVENTORY PLANNING AND SCHEDULING SOFTWARE FOR CHEMICAL AND PROCESS INDUSTRIES

Livonia, Mich. –May 19, 2004 – SherTrack LLC announces today its official company launch. The company has developed a software solution, SNAPPS™, which defines a new performance standard for the planning and scheduling of manufacturing operations. The key difference between SNAPPS and existing solutions lies in SNAPPS planning and scheduling engine, which uses probabilistic analysis to actually sense and adapt to the day-to-day variability and uncertainty that make planning and scheduling such a challenge. SNAPPS users realize value through improvements to customer service levels, significant reductions to inventory holdings, and improved operational efficiency.

“With our SNAPPS product we are bringing new science to the supply chain. SNAPPS provides a powerful solution to the basic production scheduling problems of what and how much to make and setting inventory stock levels,” states Alf Sherk, founder and CEO of SherTrack. The SNAPPS product is currently in pilot testing with several Fortune 500 chemical companies. SherTrack is planning a full product release in July, 2004.
