What does it mean for a manufacturer to be demand driven?   It means that customer purchases trigger production response. SherTrack is totally focused on enabling demand-driven manufacturing, especially in complex production environments, to provide our customers with competitive advantage through best-in-class service, production efficiency and total throughput.

SherTrack’s probabilistic technology, SNAPPS, was developed based on large-scale empirical research showing that statistical process control precepts would be effective in managing customer demand and determining the optimal system response.  Until SNAPPS, manufacturers with significant product change over costs could not adopt the Lean Pull approach due to incomplete customer signals.  SNAPPS probabilistic algorithms provide a synthetic demand signal that virtually eliminates the impact of forecast error on plant operations.

In our vision, the demand-driven predictive manufacturer:

ü      Synchronizes production with demand,

ü      Makes the right amount of the right product at the highest margin,

ü      Maximizes production yield,

ü       Optimizes capacity utilization, and

ü       Minimizes production cost

This new predictive manufacturing solution from SherTrack enables companies to do just that, with reduced risks and costs. By leveraging the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, companies experience a lower total cost of ownership. And less integration work greatly shortens time to results. SNAPPS simulation can easily validate and test the new process requirements, reducing the cost of refining and tuning the plant models and associated supply chain policies.

How do best-in-class manufacturers measure themselves? By their ability to respond to their customers’ needs with agility, flexibility, speed and uncompromised production economics.
